Chartwell's academic program is designed to support our mission,   to empower bright students, Grades 1-12 with language-based learning differences, including dyslexia, by preparing these exceptional thinkers to thrive in college and careers. Our high school graduates regularly receive multiple offers of admission and scholarships to four year colleges.

A Purpose Built Learning Community

Chartwell offers a purpose built community that is designed specifically for students with dyslexia. We treasure the partnership between school and home and believe that by working together we can leverage that relationship to support the learning needs of our students.

Individualized Instruction

We know that not all great minds think alike. Our teachers use a variety of instructional techniques in each of their lessons. This multi-sensory approach is designed to appeal to all kinds of minds.

Leveraging Technology

Our teachers leverage educational technology as a tool to help our students access new material and produce evidence of their learning. Some specific examples include Google Classroom, Moodle, Kahn Academy and Read Naturally. Our classrooms have been designed to make sure all students are in the front row. Our faculty believes in a mindset of perpetual improvement and is always experimenting with new ideas.
