Events & Donors
Chartwell holds a number of events each year, including fundraisers and friendraisers. Each event is supported by volunteers and local donors who are dedicated to Chartwell's mission.
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is the Party in a Pear Tree, held annually on the first Friday in December. Our 2010 Party in a Pear Tree will take place Friday, December 3rd, at the Beach and Tennis Club in Pebble Beach. The succes of this event is based on the many dedicated volunteers and loyal donors who enrich this very special evening. Chartwell School would like to thank the dedicated members of the 2009 Party in a Pear Tree Committee for organizing a party to remember and raising $177,000 for Chartwell's Financial Aid program. We also thank the dozens of generous and creative volunteers who made the party outstanding. Funds raised at our special events and much-appreciated donations are used to offset the school’s operating expenses and sustain our robust Financial Aid program. Tuition does not cover the full cost of educating each student, and 43% of students recieve Financial Aid. Funds generated at events help to bridge the gap between revenue and the actual cost of operating the school.
Without the support of our many generous donors and volunteers, Chartwell's Advancement efforts would not be nearly as successful nor as much fun. We are thankful for all of you!
