A big part of Chartwell's program is rebuilding these children's self esteem. Usually by the time a child comes to Chartwell they've experiences quite a bit of failure in school. They don't know why, they try very hard. They're very, very bright and yet they're still not succeeding. So by the time they come to Chartwell they're feeling pretty bad about their ability to learn and that's one of the things that we really work on. Building up their confidence and self-esteem and at the same time show them that they can learn and help them to be successful.
