Kristen Atkins, M.S., Director of CALL
Welcome to Chartwell’s Center for the Advancement of Language and Literacy (CALL). By looking over this website, you are helping to spread awareness about literacy and learning variations. Thank you for your help and for your interest in our work.
I believe that many students are capable of levels of achievement they may not be demonstrating in their current academic setting. I see evidence of this belief every day in a variety of CALL programs that result in student transformations. Students who don’t like school or who struggle academically can become curious, confident and appreciated learners—but they often need help.
Our goal at CALL is to give educators and community members the tools and training they want and deserve. Together, we can help our young people become excellent readers, enthusiastic students and dedicated, lifelong learners. In support of that community goal, CALL offers a wide variety of staff trainings, free workshops, and literacy programs.
At CALL, we understand that each family, school and community organization has developed in unique ways. The community services we provide are designed to assist you in your mission by providing professional development that is effective, enjoyable and affordable.
