At Chartwell our goal is to have children from all walks of life able to access the education they need. Our programs and services are carefully designed to help students develop the skills, confidence and creativity needed to return successfully to mainstream education and become lifelong learners. You are your child’s strongest advocate and we thank you for your interest in our program.
The typical Chartwell student is one who has average or higher intelligence, as identified by cognitive testing, and has no primary emotional or behavioral issues that would preclude him or her from constructively engaging in the academic program. Our students generally exhibit some difficulty with reading, writing, spelling, memorization, and other forms of processing such as phonological awareness, decoding and rapid naming.
The staff and administrators at Chartwell are happy to help with the application process in any way we can. We understand that applying to an independent school may be a new experience for many parents. Please do not hesitate to ask us for help. Chartwell looks forward to working with you and your child
