I have a learning disability that is called dyslexia. Dyslexia is a family of learning disorders. If you have dyslexia you can get words mixed up or have trouble with reading, writing, and math. I am dyslexic and I have problems with math. I have memory problems and I can't remember all my math facts. When a person gives me directions I get them mixed up. I also have trouble with my writing. I have learned to write on the computer. This allows me to correct my punctuation, spelling and grammar. My computer has a spell checker and a grammar checker. Reading is not a problem anymore. After four years at Chartwell I am at an appropriate reading level for my age. Chartwell has given me the tools to deal with my dyslexia and succeed in school.
